In her 8th solo exhibition, Ilené Bothma continues to investigate her personal narratives and intimate relationships. Varied mediums such as textiles, painting and ceramics come together to interrogate issues surrounding women’s labour and materiality. Bothma employs solitary human figures hidden underneath cloths of varying transparency together with more abstract landscape imagery to explore her own understanding of interpersonal connections.
