When is the gallery open?

You can visit us from 09:00 -17:00 during the week and from 10:00 -14:00 on Saturdays. Unfortunately, we are not open on public holidays.

 

In addition, we are normally closed a few days before an opening in order to install our most recent shows. Please keep an eye on these dates before visiting!

Is there an admission fee?

No, we have no admission fee. We believe that art should be viewed and enjoyed by everyone.

How can I submit my work to the gallery?

99 Loop prefers online submissions. You are welcome to send us an email with a PDF of your most recent works attached or a link to your website.

May I take pictures when visiting?

Feel free to take photographs and tag us @99loopgallery!

What happens to an artist's work after the exhibition?

The gallery continues to market and sell the artworks on various digital platforms. The most popular place to do so is our Artsy profile. Here you can view, augment and purchase any work that catches your eye.

Is the work on show for sale?

Yes, the work we exhibit and the artworks we have in storage are available for sale. All you have to do to view them is ask!

Can I rent out the gallery for events?

Our upstairs and downstairs galleries are both available to rent. Please consult our rate card and get in touch with us if you are interested in hosting your event at 99 Loop.

 

Please note that we do not rent the gallery on exhibition opening dates or First Thursdays. Additionally, we do not outsource other art exhibitions.

How do I join the mailing list?

What can I expect when visiting the gallery?

At 99 Loop you will find the latest in contemporary art from established and emerging South African artistic talent. As a commercial gallery, we specialise in paintings but are also home to photography, sculptures and installation-based works. 

 

Loop Editions is an exciting new avenue coming soon to Cape Town. Here you could expect to sit back, relax and enjoy a coffee while browsing our latest editioned art pieces and books.

How do I find out what's new at the gallery?

Sign up to our mailing list and the gallery will let you know more about our upcoming shows. Alternatively, keep an eye on our website's exhibitions tab in the menu. We update this as soon as new information becomes available.

How long are exhibitions up for?

Our exhibitions run for a month-long period and usually change in the last week of the month. Please note that the gallery is closed for three consecutive days between shows to allow for the installation of the newest exhibition.

Does the gallery offer worldwide shipping?

Yes, we offer worldwide shipping at an additional cost and it takes 24-48 hours to get a shipping quote. The works will take 2-3 weeks to arrive at their destination. The shipping cost includes crating and full liability cover.
